General presentation

Seventeen communes despread over two départements, the Morbihan and Loire-Atlantique, make up the Presqu'île de Guérande.  Marked by the diversity of its landscapes, the Presqu'île is demarcated by the Atlantic Ocean to the west and south, the Vilaine estuary to the north, and the Grande Brière marshland to the east.

The Presqu'île area partially crosses the Brière Regional Park , created in 1970 (8 communes of the Presqu'île are also part of the Brière Regional Park: Assérac, Guérande, Herbignac, La Baule, Saint-Lyphard, Saint-Molf, Pornichet and Saint-André-des-Eaux).
